I came to work for Vista Real Estate in September of 1983 just one month after Hurricane Alicia had blown through. Initially, my job was a temporary one, meant to provide secretarial/accounting support for the Bayou Vista and Omega Improvement Committees. I was working with the developer, various construction crews and emergency management teams to rebuild the storm-damaged homes in Bayou Vista and Omega Bay. I fell in love with the area, the folks living here, those I was working with and just the overall spirit of the community. Outside of a short stint at UTMB in the early 90's, I've been affiliated with some aspect of Vista Real Estate ever since. In 1994, I assumed the Property Management position for the company and eventually became the Broker for Vista Real Estate. I don't actively list or sell, choosing instead to focus on the lease homes division of our business. We offer several plans for those homeowners interested in leasing out their properties in Bayou Vista, Omega Bay, Tiki Island, Texas City and La Marque. Currently, we're considering expanding our rental/lease program to include short-term (weekly, monthly, ect.) rentals.
